Popular indie rock band Black Mountain headlines a unique fundraiser Saturday night (June 4) at Sugar Nightclub, 858 Yates St.
The Vancouver quintet, with opening act Men at Adventure, is helping raise funds for youth soccer organization ALFA (Alma Libre Futbol Association). The group offers a soccer experience for youth and families who may not have the financial ability to participate.
ALFA is fundraising for a 2013 exchange trip to Uruguay and Argentina as a way to unite youth from different cultures through sport. Tickets for Saturday’s event are $20, available at Ditch Records (784 Fort St.), Lyle’s Place (770 Yates St.) and online at www.ticketweb.ca.
