Drug stash found in Fernwood residence

Victoria police carried a medley of drugs from a Fernwood residence Friday afternoon.

The emergency response team surrounded an apartment in the 1200-block of Gladstone Avenue.

A man and a woman were arrested and two children, both under the age of nine, were handed over to the Ministryof Children and Family Development.

Victoria police spokesperson Sgt. Grant Hamilton said officers found heroin, GHB, marijuana, meth, a kilo of cocaine and cash in the unit.

Christopher John Bathe, is charged with six counts of possession, one for trafficking and one count of possessing a firearm. He is also charged with possession from a Jan. 14 arrest.

The woman will also likely face drug charges.
