The court date for the accused in the vehicle crash death of West Shore RCMP Const. Sarah Beckett has been delayed again. But this time, it was due to scheduling.

Langford resident Kenneth Jacob Fenton has yet to enter a plea and has had his case delayed numerous times since being charged last September in connection to the April 2016 crash in Langford. He was due to appear in Western Communities Court today (May 18) but his appearance was pushed to May 25.

According to Dan McLaughlin, communications counsel at the B.C. Prosecution Service, the case was “adjourned briefly to accommodate scheduling issues” and Beckett’s family was aware of the adjournment.

Fenton is facing five charges including impaired driving causing death, following an early morning crash at the intersection of Peatt Road and Goldstream Avenue.
