Police responded to 17 false alarms at Oak Bay residences this past week, said Dept. Chief Kent Thom.
Homeowners with alarm systems are reminded to review their system procedures regularly, have a contact person on file with the alarm company, ensure the system is working properly and that everyone knows how to use it, Thom said.
