The Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria welcome its new bishop later this month.

The installation mass for the Most Reverend Gary Gordon is Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, 740 View St.

As seating in the cathedral is limited, entrance to the celebration is by invitation or reserved ticket only.

Overflow seating will be available at the former St. Andrew’s elementary school, 1002 Pandora Ave. The celebration will be live streamed to this location.

Gordon is the 17th Bishop of Victoria. He replaces Most Rev. Richard Gagnon who was appointed Archbishop of Winnipeg last October.
