Local TV series gets kudos

A Victoria film company has been honored with a Canadian Environmental Media Award for a documentary series.

Aarrow Productions’ show, Down2Earth features indigenous communities and individuals who use their traditional knowledge and science to find solutions to environmental issues.

The 13-part series is broadcast by the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. It is produced by Barbara Hager and hosted by Steve Sxwithul’txw and Art Napoleon – all of whom are from Victoria.

Hager will receive the award, in the television series category, in Toronto on April 16.
