A massive copper wire theft was discovered Monday at a vacant building in the 200-block of Harbour Rd.
There was extensive damage and graffiti inside the building, and the thieves likely took their time stripping the copper wire over the weekend, said Const. Mike Russell. Damage is estimated in the thousands of dollars.
Police are asking anyone with relevant information to call the VicPD non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
