Four flat-screen TVs were taken from two neighbouring homes in Saanich earlier this week.
Three TVs – including two 50" plasmas – were reported stolen from a home in the 700-block of Sayward Hill Terr. Sunday afternoon. Another was reported taken from the 800-block of Sayward Rd. on Monday.
In the first theft, a vehicle was also taken from the home to transport the TVs. It was later recovered abandoned.
Police are warning individuals looking to buy secondhand electronics through online sites like Used Victoria or Craig's List that a deal that seems too good to be true likely is – the item may have been stolen.
Electronics owners are reminded to keep track of all serial and model numbers so items can be tracked and returned when police recover belongings.
