March 25, 1936 - February 1, 2023

Mumzie was born in Hamburg on March 25th, 1936, to Bruno Thomas Lindner and Lina Lindner, Ursel had two siblings Bruno and Renata, as many children in Germany of that era her memories began during WW 2, during the war her home in Hamburg was bombed and fortunately the large bomb did not go off and she survived along with her family, although their home was destroyed from the sheer size of the bomb. The family moved to her Grandmother's home in Haslo Germany for the rest of the War.

Ursel was a Tom boy by her own accounts and enjoyed sports, climbing trees, and working on the small farm where the family also bred Huskies while she was a youth. Loved to read, crochet, knit etc., etc., she had a lot of craft skills which she used her entire life.

Ursel traveled to Italy for a Grand adventure in 1956 at the age of 20 for a trip she cherished her entire life.

Working in Hamburg as a bookkeeper/seamstress and few other Jobs, receiving glowing reviews from all her employers, while she was a young lady, and later moving to Traben-Trabach were she worked in her father's Pub. The Wild-mann Pub which still exists today. Ursel had her firstborn Thomas in Traben Trabach.

A few years later Ursel started an adventure of a lifetime, and came to Kitimat BC, Canada in April 1962 to be a housekeeper and nanny for a recently widowed man Heinz Ebenau who had 4 boys of his own to raise, sadly Heinz had lost the Love of his Life to Cancer on October 3rd, 1961.

After 5 months in Canada Ursel signed up for a Bookkeeping Course and clearly the foundation had been set and the commitment made to marry Heinz on December 7th, 1962, when they adopted each other's children. Sigbert Oskar, Hans Dieter, Jorg, Daniel Lawrence, and Thomas Bruno.

Ursel's life in Canada had begun, after a few year's they had 2 more children Carla Anna, and Heinz Albert or Heinila/Heinaly or Junior, for a full house of 7 Children. This family grew into the large and caring family it is today, in large part to the Family example Ursel and Heinz Sr. set.

Moving to Kimberley in 1973 for a 4 year stint before ultimately settling in Princeton BC in 1977, were they spent the majority of their lives.

Ursel passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2023 in Kimberley BC. Please provide a donation to the charity of your choice in Lew of flowers, Ursel would have wanted it that way, as she always put others first.
