Add my name to the list of people who are embarrassed to live in Oak Bay.
This one time staid, old, behind-the-tweed-curtain community has indeed become a haven for the entitled. Not only speeding sports cars but “mine is bigger than yours” SUVs that ignore stop signs, speed limits and crosswalks.
This me-first attitude has been slowly creeping into Oak Bay but has since arrived with a vengeance.
Maybe we should change the city motto to “out of my way I’m coming through.”
