What do Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Denmark have in common? Four things: more progressive taxation than Canada, more of their GNP from taxes than Canada, and less of their GDP for military spending than Canada. And much better public rail and bus transportation.
Let’s do what our European counterparts have done and there will enough money for a modern rail system.
