LETTER: Teens made wrong choice behind wheel

It appears that they do not know the difference between right and wrong

Re: Saving lives a priority (Our View, Feb. 18)

It is all very well for chief coroner Lisa Lapointe to state that speed, impairment and not wearing a seatbelt were the main factors in the deaths of these young people, but let us be practical about this, in that these youngsters were actually committing serious road traffic offences at the time of their deaths.

On the surface, it appears that they do not know the difference between right and wrong.

There is no point in blaming anyone – the parents or the education system. These youngsters had a choice and they chose the wrong one.
