Before we develop and build more condos on the waterfront areas of Sidney, let’s just wait a moment and reflect.
The ocean view belongs to everybody, not just those who can afford it. What makes Sidney so special is our small waterfront town appeal. If merchants are worried about big box stores, we have to keep and nurture what we have, because once it’s gone it’s gone.
Personally I’m thrilled when I can find a free three hour parking spot where I can enjoy the cinema, eat at a restaurant and shop without moving the car.
As my dear Dad used to say, it’s better to keep the customers you have than look for new ones.
