There are easier runs out there but nothing compares to the natural and historic beauty of Sunday’s Hatley eight kilometre at Royal Roads University.
A challenging run up and down the hilly slopes of RRU, the Hatley eight km is said to be tougher than many 10 km runs.
Hosted by the Royal Roads Running Club, the race begins and ends at Royal Road University’s Recreation Centre, 2005 Sooke Rd., Colwood.
Start time is 11 a.m., race day registration is $35, $30 for students.
Hatley is the fourth of eight events in the Frontrunners’ Island Race Series. Next on the Frontrunners’ calendar is the Bazan Bay five-km on March 6, followed by the Comox Valley half-marathon on March 20.
