The first annual Team Tennis tournament will happen between to the Lambrick Park and Cedar Hill Recreational tennis courts, Sept. 8-11.
“The format is what’s fun about it,” said co-organizer Nathan Bailey.
“It’s a Davis Cup style event, with every match five consecutive sets of singles, singles, doubles, and then two more sets of singles.”
Teams may carry two to four players each and there are four categories, men’s A and B and women’s A and B. Before each match, a home team and visiting team will be randomly selected.
The visiting team will be first to declare their lineup immediately before the first, third and fifth sets.
