Canada's top skaters were on the ice practising at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Thursday morning in preparation for this weekend's Canadian Figure Skating Championships.

The practice day for the seniors is followed Thursday evening by the final skate of the Skate Canada Junior Nationals.

It's the third time Victoria's hosted the senior event, held here previously in 1978 and 1988.

Tickets are still available for both the Canadian Figure Skating Championships and Junior Nationals online at www.selectyourtickets.com, by phone at 1-866-514-5050, or in person at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre box office.
