Victoria Highlanders, United play to draw

Two soccer sides play in annual Charity Shield in Victoria

The Victoria Highlanders and Victoria United FC showed a little charity to each side in their annual Charity Shield friendly at Royal Athletic Park on Sunday with the two teams playing to a 1-1 draw.

Kye Taylor scored for United. Juan Felipe Giraldo potted the other for the Highlanders.

The Highlanders return to Premier Development League action against the Kitsap Pumas, Saturday (May 17) at Royal Athletic Park. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. Next action for the Pacific Coast Soccer League United is May 24 when they play Vancouver Thunderbirds at Braefoot Park. Game time is 2:15 p.m.
