Alexandra Komarnycky from the Victoria Amateur Swim Club competes in the 400-metre freestyle at the 2011 World Trials at Saanich Commonwealth Place Wednesday.
Komarnycky is hoping to swim her way back onto the national team for the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai this summer.
She finished fourth in the 400m A finals on Wednesday and was set to compete in the 400m IM on Thursday.
The trials run until Saturday, with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. each day.
