Esquimalt residents can now vote for their favourite Christmas tree at the fifth annual Christmas Tree Village.
This year, 40 different organizations and businesses have decorated their trees which are now on display at the Esquimalt Rec Centre and the Archie Browning Sports Centre.
From Dec. 3-19, the trees will be open to people’s choice voting (with a limit of one per day) during regular business hours, and the winner will be announced Dec. 20.

Tree voting will be accompanied with other holiday events, including a Holiday Celebration Lunch on Dec. 6 (reservation required), and free photos with Santa on Dec. 8 in exchange for a non-perishable food item.
On Dec. 14 there will be the first Jolly Jingle Story Mingle, which invites families to come on down in their pyjamas for some hot chocolate and storytelling. People are asked to bring their own cups, and join the story circle from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
POLL: What kind of Christmas tree do you use?
On Dec. 15 from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. there is a Skate with Santa event at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, which is free for pass holders, or $2 for non pass holders when they bring a non-perishable food item.
