Lt.-Gov extols  Queen’s tenure

In honour of Queen Elizabeth’s 60th anniversary on the throne, Government House is hosting a public garden party Sunday.

Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon is throwing the doors of her official residence open from noon to 1:30 p.m. Visitors can watch footage of the coronation from 1953 and view public rooms.

Outside on the east lawn, tea service will be offered, along with entertainment including the Naden Band, Greater Victoria Police Band, Nicola Valley Community Band and the Friends of Government House Singers. Visitors are encouraged to wear period dress.
