Celebrate royal poetry in library courtyard

Join Victoria’s regal poet laureate Linda Rogers this Saturday (April 23) for a celebration of royal poetry and song at the Greater Victoria Public Library’s downtown branch courtyard.

The event, scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., features poetry readings by Rogers, Barbara Colebrook Peace and Ariel O’Sullivan, and original poetry performances and displays by Victoria school children, including Happy House Wedding Songs, written in honour of the Royal Wedding.

As well, scroll and kite poems will be on display throughout the library. Drop by this family fun event and write your own poetry wishes. Visit www.gvpl.ca for more information.
