Local duo play with Prine

Dustin Bentall and Kendel Carson support John Prine

Two Canadian country singers will join legendary singer-songwriter John Prine on stage in Victoria May 3.

Country-singing duo Dustin Bentall and Kendel Carson were announced as the supporting act for Prine’s Western Canadian tour dates.

Vancouver-born Bentall plays the guitar while Alberta-born, Victoria-raised Carson plays the fiddle.

Tour dates also include Vancouver (May 5) and Winnipeg (May 12).

The Victoria show takes place at the Alix Goolden Performance Hall, 900 Johnson St., on May 3 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available in person through the McPherson Box Office, by phone at 250-386-6121 or online at rmts.bc.ca.
