Twin bill flicks at Open Space

Two cinematic projects that tease memory and history are paired up in Drifter’s Clip, a project showing now at Open Space Arts Society. From Mayne Island, Jeremy Borsos’ Been Poll is a 27-channel projection using found eight-millimetre footage.

From Vancouver, the artist collective DRIL’s Move It On Over explores the history of the tumbleweed. Drifter’s Clip closes with a lecture, “In the Key of Kodachrome,” by Montreal-based curator Peter White, on Saturday, May 28 at 7 p.m.

Open Space is at 510 Fort St. Opening hours are noon until 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Visit www.openspace.ca for details.
