A 34-year-old woman is facing charges after a Central Saanich police investigation allegedly found she applied for a nursing job with forged documents.

Island Health informed the Central Saanich Police Service in early October that Charrybelle Talaue applied for a nursing position using suspicious documents.

The British Columbian College of Nurses and Midwives confirmed that Talaue has never been a registered nurse in B.C.

Central Saanich police say she committed forgery by making false documents and fraudulently impersonated Yves Anglehart with the intent to gain advantage for herself in the Sidney area from Sept. 22 until Dec. 15.

“The ongoing collaboration and support from our partners including Island Health, the B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives, and Alberta Health greatly assisted us in this investigation,” said Central Saanich Police Service Deputy Chief Kevin Hacket said in a news release.

Police believe Talaue has applied for and worked other health-care jobs in B.C. and Alberta under multiple other aliases.

Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the Central Saanich Police Service at tips@cspolice.ca.
