A new-and-improved Esquimalt legion has re-opened after a six-year hiatus.

On Thursday, April 26, the new Royal Canadian Legion Branch 172 reopened at 622 Admirals Road.

According to the branch’s Facebook page, the first beers were poured during the Thursday night soft opening, marking the official opening of the new space, which replaced the original building that closed in 2018.

Currently, it is closed Mondays and Sundays, and is open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, noon to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, and noon to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
