Volunteers vow to keep traffic delays to a minimum as runners flood local streets on May 26 for the 18th Annual Oak Bay Half Marathon, relay, 10k and Dairyland Kids Run.

The race starts at 8 a.m. (with early birds on the road at 7 a.m.) from Windsor Road at Windsor Park and has a four-hour time limit, with the latest participant off the course by noon. Full road closures mean participants can use full lanes throughout the race.

Roads will be closed between 30 minutes to three hours to allow the race to take place, except Newport Avenue and Oak Bay Avenue which will only be closed for approximately 30 minutes, then will be open.

Rolling road closures in the area start at 6 a.m. and end at noon.
