The City of Victoria, B.C. Lions and Canadian Football League (CFL) are making a “major” announcement in B.C.’s capital city.

The announcement is scheduled to happen at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 29) at the Victoria Conference Centre.

B.C. Lions co-general manager and head coach Rick Campbell, CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie, Victoria Mayor Marianne Alto and Lions kicker Sean Whyte are expected to be in attendance.

In January, the CFL announced that Langford’s Starlight Stadium may play host to a CFL game down the line for “Touchdown Pacific”.

The East Coast has hosted multiple CFL “Touchdown Atlantic” games since 2005.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers came out on top 24-13 over the B.C. Lions in the CFL West Division final on Nov. 11.

The Montreal Alouettes defeated Winnipeg 28-24 in the Grey Cup on Nov. 19.
