Numerous crashes around Sooke, police urge drivers to use caution in the snow

RCMP reporting several rollovers on Gillespie Road, near Roche Cove

Drivers are being warned to use caution in today’s snowy weather which has created treacherous and hazardous road conditions and led to numerous rollovers around the Sooke Region on Friday.

Sooke RCMP are reporting “several rollovers” on Gillespie Road, near Roche Cove, and are considering closing a portion of the road.

Other heavily hits spots include Otter Point and Phillips roads.

“We are not attending accidents unless there is a serious injury. We have so many accident being reported,” said Cpl. Dawn Gilhen.
