Power is back on at the Victoria International Airport after a power outage in its terminal building this morning. After hours operating on a backup generator, power was restored around 10 a.m.
Shortly before noon the airport’s main runway also opened after staff took the morning to clear it of snow.

Our main runway 09/27 has reopened. A huge thank you to our Operations team!

In the meantime, poor weather is still affecting staff in the airport, resulting in the early closure of the Starbucks and Tim Hortons, as well as both gift shops.
