Suspect in downtown Victoria graffiti vandalism turns himself in

Public identified suspect from video, man faces mischief charges

Victoria Police Department arrested the suspect in a December vandalism incident after a man turned himself in Wednesday morning (Jan. 5).

The suspect had been recorded on surveillance camera spray painting buildings at 845 and 848 Yates Street in the early hours of Dec. 12.

“The video was released as part of our investigation,” VicPD stated in a press release. “Several people recognized the suspect from the video and contacted police.”

The man was released pending a future court date and faces recommended charges of mischief under $5,000.
