All the optimistic predictions and the upbeat atmosphere at the recent B.C. Liberal convention in Whistler reminded me of that old joke about the last words of the captain of the Titanic: “There’s nothing to worry about, folks. We’re just slowing down to take a little ice on board for the party tonight.”
