I would like to respond to the letter re: tickets to those who did not slow down or move over.
I personally am very glad that this law has come to be.
I was an emergency room nurse who had the misfortune to be on duty on two separate occasions when police officers were brought in after being hit at the side of the road.
They died.
So you got a ticket. Suck it up, admit you were wrong, pay the fine and thank God that your impatience and poor judgment did not lead to another senseless tragedy.
