Weed out ill deer with cull

Unfortunately the method proposed by Oak Bay is not discriminatory

One of the more common comments from the pro deer cull advocates pertains to the number of sick or injured deer they have seen.

I agree that these poor creatures should be put out of their misery but unfortunately the method proposed by Oak Bay is not discriminatory. The first deer, be it a healthy animal or a lame or sick animal, into the trap will be slain.

By removing 25 deer in this manner the sick and lame could still be free and suffering. A cull is a selective process, weeding out the sick and injured versus a kill which this basically is. It should be selective.
