'She Kicks' program graduates 54 coaches

Program geared to the development of female soccer coaches in the Victoria region

More than 50 teenage girl soccer players earned coaching certificates through the She Kicks program.

The program is a partnership between Lower Island Soccer Association and the University of Victoria Women’s Vikes soccer team that is geared to the development of female soccer coaches.

This past winter the University hosted two female only coaching courses for players in grades 10 through 12 and certified 31 coaches through the Active Start program and a further 23 coaches through the Fundamentals stage.

Our goal is to develop a world leading grassroots coaching development program here in the LISA district and the ‘She Kicks’ program is a key piece of that programming,” said LISA head coach Andrew Latham.
