VIDEO: Spring means baby goats are back at Victoria petting zoo

Beacon Hill Children’s Farm is open for the season, including twice-daily goat stampedes

Daily goat stampedes are back as Victoria’s Beacon Hill Children’s Farm opens just in time for spring break.

Family run and operated since June 1985 and supported by both volunteers and staff, the Victoria attraction reopened March 13 with newly revamped paths and petting area.

Three new baby goats add to the fun of the farm that features pigs, donkey, horses, a hut full of birds and more in Beacon Hill Park.

A highlight for all ages is the twice-daily stampedes that see the animals thunder out from their overnight abode and race and jump to the play area at the iconic goat barn in the morning – and back again for the night.

Beacon Hill Children’s Farm is open daily, weather permitting, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with goat stampedes at 10:10 and 4:10.
