The Princess Royal and her husband will soon be visiting the Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association.

On May 5, the only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth and the sister of King Charles, Princess Anne, will be joined by her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, in Central Saanich to visit the VTRA riding facility.

“I see the smiles, the joy, the calm within the riders and their families and I just want to be able to share this with the world. Her Royal Highness is a keen and successful equestrian, and she understands the connection between the rider and the horse,” said VTRA board chair Annie Brothwell in a news release.

The association will share highlights of their programs to the monarch, and some riders will have the opportunity to demonstrate how the VTRA has supported them.
