After a small launch in July, the Chinatown Night Market’s second event of the summer has grown to almost twice the size of the first, offering more food, vendors and entertainment during an evening that celebrates Chinatown’s heritage and culture.
The night market takes place Wednesday (Aug. 31) from 5 to 9 pm in the 500-block of Fisgard St.
The market also features traditional Chinese music, dance and activities throughout the evening.
“The response to having an evening market in Chinatown has been fantastic. We’ve heard that people want to see it grow and succeed and that people especially like the emphasis on Chinatown heritage and culture,” says Tony Joe, Chinatown market committee chair.
“We hope the market will continue to grow and will become an essential part of downtown’s vibrant night scene.”
