Elvis coming to Cook Street Village

Peanut butter and banana sandwiches not on the menu

Put on your blue suede shoes and slick back your hair – Elvis is in town.

The Cook Street Village Activity Centre, 1-380 Cook St., welcomes the iconic entertainer to its monthly lunch on Friday (Sept. 21). The meal happens from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., followed by an hour-long performance by an Elvis impersonator who is due to arrive in a pink Cadillac.

The centre's new chef, Anouscha Moreel, will cook up a three-course meal to celebrate the end of summer. Tickets are $12 for members, $15 for non-members, available at the reception desk. Call 250-384-6542 or email csvac@shaw.ca for more information.

Cook Street Village Activity Centre (formerly Fairfield Activity Centre) is a non-profit organization offering social, educational and recreational activities for adults of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
