Music, festivals abound in Victoria's Centennial Square

Check out Murray Porter and the 24th Street Wailers at the open-air stage for $25 on June 28, and grab lunch and take in some free music from July 2 to Sept. 11, noon to 1 p.m.

The eventide music series begins July 3 and runs until Aug. 14 with musical samples ranging from electro gypsy to twee folk. All concerts run Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Weekend festivals abound in Centennial Square all summer long as well. There's Festival Mexicano, July 11 to 13 (victoriamexicancanadian.org), Victoria Tango and Latin Arts Festival, July 31 to Aug. 3 (passion4tango.com), Victoria India MELA festival, Aug. 8 to 10 (iccavictoria.ca) and the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival, Aug. 20, to name a few.
