Teen songwriters need to get busy

The Greater Victoria Public Library's popular Teen Summer Writing Contest is open for registration

The Greater Victoria Public Library's popular Teen Summer Writing Contest is open for registration and has expanded to include a song-writing category, all under the theme of If Only I Had Known.

Budding young writers can get a head start on their entries by registering for GVPL writing programs with Victoria’s Youth Poet Laureate Aysia Law, Story Studio writing coach Jody Carrow and singer songwriter Kaya Fraser.

Other teen programs include a makerspace demo and workshop, movie making sessions and craft workshops. Space is limited. For more information on programs and teen volunteer opportunities visit gvpl.ca/teens.
