This weekend take in a rambling tour of the countryside with a healthy sprinkling of artists studios as the Saanich West Studio Tour turns 10.
Ceramic artists Heidi Roemer and Joy Finlay decided a decade ago that it would be good to have a studio tour that led people into the countryside of Saanich West.
“We thought it would be quite a variance from the more citified studio tours, to have people come out into the country and wander around, by car or maybe by bicycle,” Finlay said. Black and yellow arrows will guide guests along the route.
“People look forward to it. It’s such a wonderful locale, you’re out there in the forest, it’s spring, it’s incredibly enjoyable,” said artist Rosemary Neering.
The tour runs Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
