Major crimes investigators say a man’s suspicious Pandora Avenue death on Sept. 14 was a homicide.
The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) was called in to investigate in the hours following the incident. Police at the time said foul play was suspected, but that there was low risk to the public.
“Risk to the public is considered low and continues to be monitored,” Victoria police said in a Tuesday (Sept. 26) news release.
B.C. Emergency Health Services called VicPD to the 1000-block of Pandora Avenue on Sept. 14 at around 3:45 a.m. regarding a man in medical distress. The man died in hospital.
Police tape crisscrossed the grassy median on the day of the incident and the secondary road on Pandora between Vancouver and Cook streets was closed.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the VIIMCU information line at (250) 380-6211.
Police said Tuesday that no further information will be shared at this time.
