The local Ukrainian community is coming together in honour of revered poet Taras Shevchenko this Sunday (March 13).
The event features a performance by Vancouver’s Svitanok Choir and is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre, 3277 Douglas St.
Admission is by donation with the proceeds benefiting Ukrainian language study at the University of Victoria.
