Large parts of the Fairfield neighbourhood were once farmland. Governor Sir James Douglas owned much of it, which he called “Fairfield Farm,” and leased out most of it to tenants who tilled the soil or built country houses.

When Lisa Pasolli first ventured into the basement of the Fairfield Gonzales Community Place, she was greeted with boxes of unorganized letters, photos and other documents.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 1 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 2. Tickets are $10 or $8 for youth and seniors, with children 12 and under admitted for free.
