This move by the township comes as no surprise.
VicPD Chief Jamie Graham, who was found guilty of “discreditable conduct,” has expensive tastes in police muscle cars, and who’s choice of zero-tolerance policing approach comes with a hefty price tag.
Esquimalt can and will do better with another police service. Maybe they should talk to Oak Bay, combine their contracts, then talk to Saanich and the RCMP, who will sharpen their pencils providing very competitive proposals.
