Roll in to Lake Hill, Oak Bay lawn bowling
The Lake Hill Lawn Bowling club in Saanich is hosting an open house, Saturday, April 16.
The open house is a chance for new and former bowlers to meet and greet with the club, learn about the game, social events and winter activities, and deliver some bowls. Signup for free lessons is available.

Rugby's All Blacks scrum coach hosting clinic at Velox
New Zealand All Blacks scrum coach, Mike Cron, will be hosting a scrum clinic with Kevin Wirachowski, former Canadian scrum coach at Velox rugby club, Saturday, April 9).
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to come and get pointers from ‘Dr. Scrum,’ Mike Cron,” Velox youth director Mark Pratt said
“(Cron) is arguably the number one scrum coach in the world today.”
“The clinic is focused on developing youth rugby in Victoria and we hope it will be of interest to schools who have rugby teams playing their spring season right now, some of which are attending.”
Coffee and doughnuts served by donation at 9:45 a.m.
A “chalk talk” session beings at 10:30 a.m., followed by on-field scrum session until 12:30 p.m.
Participants are invited to stay and watch Velox with men’s and women’s games versus Capilano from North Vancouver.

Juan de Fuca soccer host provincial cup game
One week following their loss in the Jackson Cup final the Juan de Fuca men’s soccer team will host Coquitlam Metro Ford in the first round of the provincial cup.
Kickoff is 4:30 p.m. at Bear Mountain Stadium in Langford on Saturday (April 9).
Gordon Head visits Poco City FC on Sunday. Gorge and Bays Utd. await their second round dates.
